TRAINING OF FLYERS
CANADIAN SCHEME BRITISH MISSION (Reed. Oct. 12. 3 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 11. The Air Secretary, Sir Kingsley Wood, in the House of Commons today announced that the personnel of the British mission going to Canada in connection with the training scheme would consist of Mr. G. Balfour, M.P., Lord Riverdale, Air Marshal Sir Robert Brooke Popham, and Mr. F. T. Hearle, the managing director of the De Havilland Aircraft Company. The Under-Secretary for Air will proceed to Canada shortly to assist in framing the arrangements to be made between the Canadian authorities and the missions from Australia and New Zealand and the Old Country. The Canadian Government indicated that it would welcome his participation.
