ULSTERMEN RESPOND
WAR SERVICE CALL MEN FLOCK TO COLOURS NATIONAL SERVICE (Kli-c. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Oct. 10. Ulster’s contribution to the Empire war effort, was referred.'to by the Prime Minister of.' Northern Ireland, Viscount Craigavon, in the Ulster House of Commons to-day. He said that recruiting for the three services was progressing very favourably and recruiting centres had been established at Belfast, Omagh. Londonderry and Enniskillen. Dining September the regular units attained the full number required, while the third anti-aircraft brigade was recruiting so strongly that it was hoped it would be at full strength within another month. The number of people in Ulster who had now enrolled for national service exceeded 25,000, and applications were coming in at the rate of 2000 a week.
