BADLY INJURED BY TRUCK (.Reed, Sept. 5, 10 a.m.) ADELAIDE, Sept. 4. The brown horse Tempest, most fancied candidate for the Caulfield Cup, was badly injured by a motor truck while proceeding to the training track early to-day, and was later destroyed. The rider was thrown, and bad a leg and ribs broken Tempest, by Windbag, from Solar Star, was valued at 5000gns., ond was owned by Mr. F. G. Scarfe.
