NEW BERLIN COUNCIL
LESSONS OF GREAT WAR FOERSTER IN CAPITAL FORMAL TREATY HINTED (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) KRecd. Aug. 31, 3 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 31r It is officially stated in Berlin that the object of the decree issued last night establishing the German Ministerial council of Defence with Field Marshal Goenng as the -head is to concentrate the control of the forces of the nation in a few hands in order to attain the greatest possible efficiency. The council consists of Herr Hess, Dr. Lammers, General Keitel, Dr. Frick, Dr. Funk, and Field Marshal Goering.
It is stated that control by the council will obviate a conflict of political and military leadership frequent during the Great War. Reuter's Berlin correspondent says that the Nazi leader in Danzig, Herr Foerster, -is reported to have arrived in Berlin. The purpose of the visit is not disclosed. A message received from Berlin by the Daily Telegraph says reports are current that Herr Foerster signed a formal treaty with Herr Hitler in the presence of the commanders of the German military forces.
