FILM FROM HOLLYWOOD
SYDNEY. Aug. 21
Ten days after it left Hollywood, a film, which, it is claimed, will be the first Hollywood-produced film to have its world premiere in Australia, arrived in Sydney by air mail yesterday. It was the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film, “From the Ends of the Eahth,” and will be shown for flic first time at the company’s fifteenth anniversary convention, which will begin at the Hotel Australia next Wednesday.
The film was flown overland from Hollywood to New York, across the Atlantic by Clipper to England, and then to Australia by air mail.
