NEW AUDITOR-GENERAL
MR. C. G. COLLINS CHOSEN FATHER’S FORMER OFFICE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The appointment of Mr. Cyril George Collins as Controller and Auditor-General as from to-day, was announced last night by the actingprime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, .-Mr. Collins succeeds Mr. J. H. Fowler, who is retiring on superannuation after 44 years of service to the State. During Mr. Fowler’s two years as Controller and Auditor-General, Mr. Collins has been his deputy. Mr. Collins is assuming the office formerly held by Ills father, the late Colonel R. J. Collins, who retired in J 929 after serving 11 years as Contrbller and Auditor-General.
