FINANCE FOR BUDDHISM
INCOME FROM ESTATE SIR W. STRICKLAND DEAD (Reed. Aug. 11. 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 10. The death of Sir Walter Strickland has occurred. He left the income from an estate of £16,000 to promote Buddhism. He authorised that boxes containing manuscripts be removed from Prague to anywhere except the British Empire.
Sir Walter Strickland became a Czech citizen in. 1923. He also financed the Sun Yat Sen revolt in China.
