INSTALLATION OF DUKE IMPR-ESSIVE CEREMONY (Reed. July 20, 11 a.m.) LONDON. July 19. There was a memorable and impressive scene at Olympia on the occasion of the installation of the Duke of Kent as Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, m succession to his great uncle, the Duke of Couuaught, who occupied the position from 1901 to 1938. The King installed the Duke of Kent and gave a perfect rendering of the dignified ceremony, which was witnessed by 10,000 brethren from all parts of the world. United Kingdom applications for admittance were three times greater than the number seats available, necessitating a ballot. The Duke of Kent had previously been installed as head of the Royal Arch and mark degrees.
