British Troops Fly To Japan
A Royal Air Force spokesman said today that more than 300 reinforcements for the battalion of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, which was badly battered during the recent mistake bombing attack by the Americans in Korea, and in the subsequent Communist attack, arrived in Japan by air from the United Kingdom this week. Some reinforecements for the Middlesex Regiment also came in the airlift. The men were rushed overland to a naval base for sea movement to Korea. More reinforcements will be flown out to Japan from the United Kingdom soon in a second stage of the airlift.—Tokio, Oct. 2.
