Finally Discharged
Before she left Sydney for New Zealand this afternoon, the liner Wanganella was relieved of cargo which had crossed the Tasman five times. The cargo originally consigned from New Zealand comprised 500 tons and its over-carriage has cost the company £lO,OOO. Shortage of labour and heavy rain during the liner’s previous time in Sydney prevented earlier unloading. The Wanganella now harries urgently needed cargo, including machinery, ’the lack of which caused some New Zealand factories to close down last month. — Sydney. July 27.
