Cals And Opossum Traps

Sir, —During recent days over six pel cats have returned to homes on three legs. Though several of the owners of these domestic animals have approached the setters of these traps, they refuse to do anything about this cruelty. I would like, to have information on the following questions: —(1) Whom can one inform on the subject of cruelty to dumb animals in Greymouth? (2) Can people set traps in a residential area without first giving notice of such traps being set? (3) Is there not a fixed time for such traps to be set? Or are people’s domestic animals just to become crippled at random?—Yours, etc., A.M.R. Boddytown, July 25.
