Prices For N.Z. Produce
Negotiations on the prices Britain will pay for New Zealand butter and cheese in the 1950-51 season are still in progress. This statement was made by Mr William Marshall, chairman of the New Zealand Dairy - Products Marketing Commission, last night, when he was asked to comment on a Press Association cablegram, from London, implying that. Britain had refused to agree to any increase ovei last year’s prices. Mr Marshall and Mr B. C. Ashwin, Secretary of the Treasury, returned from Britain recently after talks with the British Ministry of Food. Since then they have conferred with the New Zealand Go vernm ent ■ (PA.). _
