The Sections in the First Schedule are offered Tor disposal exclusively to ex-servicemen who are immediately eligible for housing loan assistance under the Rehabilitation Act, 1941. The section in the Second Schedule is offered for disposal to civilians and ex-servicemen who are not immediately eligible for housing loan assistance under the Rehabilitation Act. Ex-servicemen will be given no preference for the section in this Schedule. This section is not considered suitable for a State Advances loan security. All sections may ultimately, at the option of the successful applicants, be purchased for cash or on deferred payments but until evidence of the applicant’s intention to build is submitted to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands a temporary lease only will be granted. Not more than one section will be sold or leased to each applicant. Applications will not be accepted from persops who already own houses or sections unless they can establish a very good case for their being permitted to acquire one of the sections. If there is more than one suitable applicant for any section, the successful applicant will- be decided by ballot to be conducted by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applications close at 4 p.m. on August 22, 1950: (a) For the sections hr the First Schedule with the Rehabilitation Officer, Greymouth. (b) For the section, in the Second Schedule with the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Hokitika. The Ballots will be held in the Commissioner’s Office, Hokitika at 11 o’clock on THURSDAY, August 24, 1950. Further particulars may be obtained and plans of the sections seen on application to the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Hokitika.
