Politicians In A Duel
BUENOS AIRES, June 23 (Rec 11 a.m.). —Two members of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, a Peronista deputy, John William. Cooke, and a Radical Party deputy, Oscar Lopez Serrot, fought a duel with pistols today. Cooke challenged Serrot last night because the latter called him a traitor for switching from the Radical to the . Peronista Party. Cooke also challenged a Radical deputy, Frondizi, to a duel for the same reason. When Cooke and Serrot fought the duel, each fired one shot at 20 paces. Neither was hurt. They left the scene still unreconciled.
