The Sussex opening batsmen, John Langridge and D. Smith, gave their side a .good start against the West Indies at Hove today, putting on 84 runs for the first wicket, but then came a slump, and the county was all out for 220: West Indies scored 61 without loss in the 55 .minutes of play left before stumps.—London, June 21.
