Clash Expected On Britain’s Finance Bill .

LONDON, June 12.—Both the Daily Telegraph and The Times say that the Government and the Opposition are mustering all their forces'for a Parliamentary clash on the Finance Bill. The House of Commons’reassembles tomorrow', and more than 130 amendments to the bill have been tabled. Several divisions may take place in the committee stages. The Opposition will make major challenges on the increase of 9d in the petrol tax and the , purchase tax on commercial vehicles. The Conservatives will seek every opoortunity of driving Labour from office, but if the Government survives the debates on the more contentious proposals in the Finance Bill the remainder of the session until the.end of July should be less exacting. Parliament can then be adjourned for the long summer recess, continuing until October. Many politicians now 7 believe, the Government may find it possible and convenient to keep this Parliament alive until next year.
