CYCLING DOUBLE TO HARFORD AT TRACK MEETING
Strong riding by the scratch marker, B. Harford, was a feature of the Greymouth Cycling Club’s weekly track meeting held at Victoria Park last evening. Harford won both the mile and a half and two mile races and finished second to E. Patterson in the half-mile event. Results were:— Half mile: E. Patterson (15yds) 1; B. Harford (scr) 2; W. Walker (scr) 3. Time: 1.8 1-5. Mile and a half: B. Harford (scr.) 1; E. Patterson (scr). 2; P. Egan (100 yds) 3. Time: 3.31. Two miles (miss and out): B. Harford 1; E. Patterson 2; W. Walker 3. Challenge races: G. Armstrong beat D. Clark; V. Goodall defaulted to J. Taylor. Boys’ mile: J. O’Neil 1; J. Kartell 2; R. Earthorne 3. Boys’ half-mile: R. Kartell 1; J. O’Neill 2; J. Messenger 3.
