Seaman Pleads Guilty To Indecent Assault

Pleading guilty to a charge of indecent assault on a 10-year-old girl in Greymouth last Saturday afternoon, Lewis Ivan Harrison, a 41-year-old member of the crew of the Omana, which was in port at Greymouth at the time, has been committed for sentence at the Supreme Court session in Christchurch. Harrison, represented by Mr W. D. Taylor, appeared on remand in the Police Court this morning before Messrs W. E. Pring and E. P. Stratford, J.P’s, and after evidence had been given by several witnesses, he was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Harrison, a single man, was a trimmer employed on the Omana.
