ANNUAL MEETING OF N.Z. VETERINARIANS

HASTINGS, This Day (P.A.).— After a three-day session, the annual conference of the New Zealand Veuerinary Association, held at the Tomoana showgrounds concluded last night. The membership of the association, at about 140, is now the highest on record. Much time was taken up with consideration of the type of contract which should be enforced between the individual veterinarian and the employing club. Officers elected were: —President, Mr J. Stewart (Hawera); vice-presi-dent, Mr A. A. Blakely (Hamilton); secretary, Mr R. W. Roach (Auckland); executive committee, Dr J. F. Gilmer (Wellington, Dr I. J. Cunningham (Wallaceville), Messrs J. H. McDonald (Inglewood), G. J. H. Moon (Warkworth).
