HILDA SCOTT —GIZERA WINNING DOUBLE AT WESTPORT MEETING
WESTPORT, December 28 (P.A.). —The second day of the Westport Trotting Club’s annual meeting was marred by heavy rain, Iwhich tell during the later part of this afternoon after the attendance had again been affected by threatening weather in the morning. The track was in- good order in spite of the rain. The totalisator handled £19,457, compared with £23,750 for the second day last year. For the meeting £39,656 was handled against £50,163 10s in 1948. The price for the double on the Buller and Denniston Handicaps, won by Hilda Scott and Gizera respectively, was £6 7s 6d for 10s.
