Kotuku W.I.
The November meeting of the Kotuku Women’s Institute was presided over by Mrs Brereton who read a report on the half-yearly meeting of the Federation held at Stillwater. The rollcall for the evening was “an exchange of plants.” “Pennies for Friendship,” were handed in. The winner of the “Wandering Shilling,” was Mrs Guenole. The handwork competition, handkerchief from a salt bag, was won by Mrs J. Molloy with Mrs Brereton second. Birthday sprays were presented to the following, Mesdames Bell, Guenole, Nestor and W. Dalzell. Mesdames Priest and Nestor conducted the social half-hour, games being won bv Mesdames Guenole, W. Brereton, P. Brereton and J. Dalzell. Supper was served by the hostesses Mesdames Brereton and Bell.
