CRICKET RECORD PARTNERSHIP FOR FIRST WICKET

NEW DELHI, November 11 (Rec. 11.10 a.m.) .—The Australian captain oi the Commonwealth cricket team, Jock Livingston, and the Englishman, Norman Oldfield, put on a record partnership of 226 for the first wicket against India in the first unofficial test today. This was the highest first wicket partnership by any visiting team m India. India’s bowling- was innocuous on a wicket which was ideal for run-getting and the Indian fielding was weak.
