A “Political Swindle”
Sir—l think we are on the eve of the biggest political swindle that this I country has ever known and I think ■ people everywhere should be made i aware of the fact. ' A few Communists have been brought 1 out to oppose the Socialist (or so-called i Labour) Party candidates in electorj ates where they won’t do any harm. ' The idea is to make people think tnai 1 they are not voting for Communism : when they are voting for the Labour Party. In this way it is hoped to entice people not to vote National, which they would otherwise do if they realised that the Labour Party, which is Socialist, and the Communists have the same objective. j I think the National party all over the country should get to work through ' the newspapers and awaken the people to this big political swindle before it is too late. It should be illegal to gull the electors—Yours etc. s . AWAKE Greymouth, November 11.
