PARLEY TO END BLOCKADE OF YANGSTE MOUTH
HONG KONG, November 8 (Rec. 1 p.m.).—Another British warship was tonight reported to be standing by at the mouth of the Yangtse, near where negotiations are proceeding between a Chinese Nationalist warship and two blockade-running. - British merchantmen. ’ The British warship’s name is not given,-but it is believed that neither she nor the frigate Alacrity, has so far intervened in the negotiations. - • . - . An unconfirmed report received' in Hong Kong says that, the steamer Wosang was stopped by a shot across her bows from a Nationalist warship.
A Norwegian freighter, with cargo from Tientsin, is among the merchantmen waiting outside the Yangtse mouth in the hope of running the blockade. . ■
