CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS
WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.).—Clarification of the observance of Christmas holidays in view of Christmas and New Year’s days falling on Sundays is contained in a bulletin issued by the Wellington Employers’ Association.
Christmas Day will be observed for holiday purposes on Monday, December 26, and New Year’s. Day on Monday, January 2,. Boxing Day will be Tuesday, December 27. The observance of January 2 as a holiday depends entirely on individual awards. Should the award refer to January 2 as “the day following New Year’s Day,” then that date should be observed on January 3.
