Army Recruiting
In the last three months 545 men and 61 women have applied for service with the-Regular Force. More than 100 have applied to join the Regular Force as cadets and applications are still coming in steadily. Due to the fact that processing, including medical, X-ray, dental, and optical examinations, usually takes about four weeks the actual number of acceptances is not yet known, but it is estimated that the Regular Force will have increased in strength by about 310 as the result of these applications. The present strength of the force is 2750.
