NEW SOLENT, ON DELIVERY FLIGHT, AHEAD OF TIME
WELLINGTON, This Day (P.A.). —The Tasman Empire Airlines .Solent “Ararangi” is well ahead of time on the delivery flight from England and is expected to arrive at Auckland on Thursday afternoon. Captain C. G. Griffiths, chief pilot for T.E.A., is in command and with him is Captain Upton Route, captain with the B 0.A.C., as co-pilot. The passengers include Captain K. O. Brownjohn operations manager for T.E.A., Captain K J. G. Bartlett a director of the Bristol Aircraft Company, Mr W. Fames, sales manager, and Mr L. G. Brister, technical representative of that company, Mr J. Atkinson, technical representative of Short Brothers and Harland, and Mr N. E. Higgs, New Zealand representative of that company.
