Taranaki Beats Wellington
With a 19-11 win at Athletic Park. Wellington, on Saturday, the Taranaki Rugby representatives for the second time this season proved their superiority both forward and back to the Wellington fifteen. There was nothing doubtful about Taranaki’s victory. It was clear-cut and fully deserved. Wellington’s biggest disappointment was in the lethargic, indecisive play by the hacks. For the winners, Sykes, Walsh, and Potior scored tries. Cockerill converted two tries and kicked two penalty goals. For Wellington. Jarden scored two tries, one of which was converted by Tito, who also kicked a penalty goal.—-(P.A.)
