YOUNG GIRL HIT BY CAR AT DILLMANSTOWN
A five-year-old girl was injured when she was. knocked down by a motor-car at Dillmanstown about four o’clock yesterday afternoon. She is Pauline McGrath, daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert McGrath, of Dillmahstown. The girl, after alighting from a taxi driven by Mr M. Dark, of Kumara, outside her home, moved round the back of the vehicle to cross the road, and was struck by a car driven by Mr R. P. James, of Kumara. After medical attention at her home, she was taken to the Westland Hospital, Hokitika. Her injuries include a fractured leg.
