The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— Situation: An anti-cyclone in the Tasman Sea extends on to New Zealand; westerly depressions are approaching. Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Moderate variable winds; weather becoming cloudy to overcast; some- rain in the far south; some frosts tonight; day temperatures moderate. Further outlook: Brief periods of rain, then improving.
