BILLIARDS TWOHILL IN FINAL

WELLINGTON, Sept. 1 (P.A.).— Brilliant billiards were played in the semi-finals of the New Zealand championships today. The titleholder, R. Carrick, of Auckland disposed of J. S. Procter, the Otago champion in the morning winning by 666 to 399 in a quarter-final. Although Procter made several good breaks, including 63, Carrick walked away with an average of 21.5 for each visit to the table. He ended the game with an unfinished break of 90. The first semi-final was played this afternoon when A. Twohill (Grey--mouth) outplayed E. V. Roberts of' Auckland, winning by 666 to 337. Roberts started well, but Twohill ran up a 90 break, and he went on to average 15.15 for each visit to the table. This evening, Carrick outplayed S. Moses of Wellington, by 666 to 449. Moses was 200 behind when he reeled off the best break of the tournament with a brilliant 107, but Carrick maintained his high average.
