Strike Wave In Finland
HELSINKI, August 20.—Finland’s Communist-led unofficial strike wave, which has brought the country’s export trade to a standstill, was checked today after the Trades Union Federation, which supports the moderate Social Democratic Government, had told the striking unions that it would expel them unless their members returned to work by midnight on Tuesday. Police and troops are protecting workers from strike pickets.
