Marching Championships
Decisions covering championship allocations and new rules for entries were made at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Marching Association, which ended at Wellington on Saturday. The North Island championships next year will be held at Auckland, and the South Island championships at Invercargill. The New Zealand championships will be held at New Plymouth next year and at Christchurch in 1951. Entries in the North Island championships are now restricted, to three teams. from each centre, and in future only the winning team in each of the 19 centre championships will take part in the New Zealand championships in addition to the island championship winners, should they not have been centre ch ampions.—(P.
