CAR DRIVER KILLED IN LEVEL CROSSING SMASH
CHRISTCHURCH,' This Day (P.A.).—An elderly man was killed and a woman injured when the cai’ in which they were driving hit a train at the Factory road level crossing at Belfast this morning. The man'•killed was: John Donald Mclnnes, aged 67, a retired farmer, of Papanui. The injured woman: . Mrs Margaret Sfehimanski, aged about 50, of Papanui. Mrs Schimanski suffered cuts to the head, bruised ribs, and shock. She was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital.
