ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL CHATHAM CUP REPLAY AT WELLINGTON
WELLINGTON, This Day (P..A) ; —“After hearing the delegates from Auckland, the council of the New Zealand Football Association decided to adhere to its decision to hold the North Island Chatham Cup final replay between Petone and Eden at Wellington on Saturday,” said Mr D. W. Dick, chairman of the N.Z.F.A. last night. The Eden Club claimed it was impossible for plavers to arrange at short notice to travel to Wellington and formally protested to the Association against the change of venue
from Auckland to Wellington. The club pointed out that the New Zealand Council’s decision was that the North Island final should be played at Auckland and that the continuation of the original game should be played there. „
