James Montgomery, a 56-year 7 oid negro, who was released from prison last week, after serving 26 years lor rape which he did .not commit, has received a death threat, signed “K.K.K.” His attorney said that this threat was made in a letter received by Montgomery’s wife. Montgomery was released from prison last Wednesday by Federal Judge Michael Igoe, who called the original triala “sham,” and said: “The issue was not justice, but racial subjugation.”—New York, August 16.
