Service To Girl Guides

Because they wished to make way for a younger committee, three longstanding members resigned from the committee at the annual meeting of the Girl Guides’ Local Association which was held last evening. They were the president, Mrs F. A. Kitchingham, and Mesdames J. M. Bunt and F. Congreve. Speakers made complimentary reference to the periods of voluntary service (over 20 years) of the retiring members and expressed regret that they were relinquishing office. There was a good attendance and Mrs A. J. Bradley was elected president of the association.
