NATIONAL ORCHESTRA TO VISIT HOKITIKA
Hokitika will be included in the itinerary of the National Symphony Orchestra when it tours minor towns of the South Island in October. This advice was received from the Director of Broadcasting, Mr W. Yates, by the Hokitika Arts Council who, in conjunction with the Mayor of Hokitika, Mr A. E. Perry, had made representation for such a visit. Two performances by the full orchestra of 68 players will be given at Hokitika on Wednesday October 12. —A free matinee for, school children only, and a public recital in the evening- . '
