Argentine Meat For Britain
Authoritative sources said today that the British and, Argentine negotiators had agreed on a price of 11.81 cents per lb for Argentine meat supplied to Britain. It was said that the Argentine Foreign- Minister (Dr Juan Bramuglia) and the British Ambassador (Sir John Balfour) reached a compromise at a private meeting this morning, after several months of difficult negotiations. The price is subject to approval
by Argentina’s National Economic Council, but reliable Foreign Ministry sources said that if no new disagreements developed the conclusion of a British-Argentine trude pact early next week was assured,---Buenos Aires, May 21.
