Mr J. H. Raleigh left today on his return to Wellington. Mrs A. B. Hogg, Waiuta, left today on a visit to Christchurch. Mr- F. Malley left today on his return to Ashburton. Miss J. Ferguson left today on her return to Timaru. Miss M. Kells left today on a visit to Christchurch. Miss D. Cross left today on her return to Christchurch. Mrs T. Rundle and Miss M. Rundle left today for Dunedin. Mr and Mrs T. J. Higgins left today on a visit to Christchurch. Mrs D. Beattie left today on her return to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs A. W. Muschamp have returned to Greymouth after a visit to Tauranga. Mr M. J. Angland, inspector of police at Greymouth, left today for Wellington, to attend a police conference. Mr W. S. Marshall, carpentry instructor with the Rehabilitation Department, Greymouth, has received notice of his transfer, on promotion, to the position of building overseer, Works Department, Westport. Mr Marshall leaves to join the Works Department on Friday. Mr W: K. McGrane of the Rehabilijtation Department, Greymouth, has received notice of his transfer on promotion to the State Fire and Accident Department. He takes up his new position at the Greymouth office, at the end of next week. Brigadier S. H. Crump, C.8.E., D. 5.0., will retire next month. Announcing this in Wellington today, the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, paid a tribute to Brigadier Crump’s outstanding record of service in the New Zealand Regular Forces and with the Expeditionary Force of both world wars.—(P.A,.)
