HINDENBURG’S SON FACES COURT OF DENAZIFICATION
(Rec 11 a.m.) , ~ HAMBURG, March 14. ■ The deriazification trial of a former lieutenant-general, Oscar von Hindenburg, son of the former; German President, began at Uelsen near Hamburg. The trial is expected to last a week and to produce evidence of a so-far- unpublished intrigue which led to Hitler’s accession to P °Hindenburg was charged on four counts: — , , n . + . 1. Falsifying his father s political testament in favour of Hitler. 2. Taking part in a conspiracy to bring Hitler to power. 3. Illegally obtaining fiscal advantages. . T 4. Supporting Hitler in a radio sjoeeclr • Hindenburg is being tried at his own request so that his bank ac count can be freed. As a Nazi sympathiser his funds are frozen until he is cleared.
