THE KING MAKING NORMAL PROGRESS
(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, March 14. His Majesty’s doctors visited the palace for a short period today, but no official statement was issued.It is understood that His Majesty is continuing to make normal progress. The medical correspondent of The Times says that the lumbar sympathectomy operation, while not a major operation, in the common sense of the term, can hardly be classed as a minor operation. “Nevertheless,” says the correspondent, “there has been no interference with a major system or organ, and recovery should be speedy.”
