LABOUR LOSES ANOTHER SYDNEY SEAT
(Rec. 11.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day
The Liberal Parly candidate, Mr B. Mutton, now seems certain to have won the Concord by-election for the seat in the State Legislative Assembly left vacant by the death of Mr W. J. Carlton (Labour). The result is a surprise for the Liberals as well as for Labour. The latest figures are:.Mr Mutton, 11,181; Mr J. P. Moloney (Labour), 11,167. The contest was a triangular one and over one-quarter of the preference votes of the Lang Labour candidate,- Mr 1 L. W. .Armstrong, went not to Mr Moloney, but to Mr Mutton. Since last May three Sydney metropolitan seats have been captured by the Liberals from Labour. . ;
