Now Comes The ‘Heliofly”
(Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, March 14. A baby autogiro, which can he strapped to a man’s back and used to fly safely off a roof-top, has been developed in Germany, according to a British Ministry of Supply report. Details of the machine, called the “heliofly” and weighing only 381 b, were included in a survey of the activities of German firms in producing autogiros and helicopters. Invented by an Austrian engineer, the heliofly has two tiny engines added to rotar blades, which can be rotated by hand.
