Freedom Of Press Disappears
(Rec. 10 a.m.) PRAGUE, March 14. The draft of a Bill which “unconditionally ’ends the publishing rights of individuals” will go before the committee of the Czechoslovak National Assembly tomorrow. A statement announcing the draft explained that it carried a stage further the nationalisation of Czech cuL ture;
The Bill legalises the control of publishing, which has been operated, since the Communists came into power' by the Ministry of Information. The new Bill will prohibit the publication or distribution of any literature, sculpture, portraits, photographs or musical scores, unless they have first been approved by the Ministry of Information.
