GREY LABOUR PARTY ELECTS OFFICERS

The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Greymouth branch of the New Zealand Labour Party last evening.— President: Mi- P. Blanchfield; honorary vice-president: Mr J. B. Kent M.P.; vice-presidents: Messrs W. J. Butler, F. Williams and J. J. Wood; secretary-treasurer: Miss M. Anderson M.L.C.; executive: Mrs K. O’Brien, Miss M. Minchin, Messrs T. Flannigan, W. Green, J. E. Laing, A. H. Sumner and M. Devlin; delegates to Westland L.R.C.: Messrs Blanchfield, Butler, J. Kennedy and Miss Anderson; auditors: Messrs P. O’Farrell and R. J. Ware; trustees: Messrs J. Brady, O’Farrell and Flannigan; hall committee: Messrs Blanchfield, Ware, W. Heslop, J. Minchin, and Miss Anderson.

At the conclusion of the meeting a presentation was made to Miss M. Anderson, M.L.C., to mark her completion of 30 years as secretary of the branch. Tributes were paid to the service Miss Anderson had given the party and the branch in particular, she having been the branch secretary since its formation.
