WOOL ACCESSORIES POPULAR IN PARIS

Wool accessories are legion just now. There are many crocheted wool hats and caps,- the latter slightly conical m line and worn well to the back of the head, states a Paris correspondent in writing to the New Zealand Wool Beard: Lola Prussac makes them m fine jerseys stretched over buckram foundations. She has them crocheted by hand also and embroidered with more wool in bright' mixed colours. Cne of the highlights of the season in wool accessories are little checked and waterproofed wool spats, scarves and shawls. Long stoles of plaid wool fabrics to match are a pretty fantasy. Wool has cantured the attention of the lingerie designers also-and the new feather-weight, diaphanous wool mousseline processed to withstand frequent washing is used for nightdresses trimmed with dozens of little tucks about the bodice. The new Empire lines featured by some • houses in evening dresses are' particularly well liked and lend themselves notably well to nightgowns. . Where colours are concerned, pastel coloured wool fabrics promise to dominate, and the paler the colours the more fashionable they will be. Offwhite leads on the latest colour charts which manufacturers are showing. These may be tinted pink or palest yellow, with mauves and a few blues to follow in order of importance. Red and green vie for pride, of place in sportswear. All shades of tobacco and cinnamon brown are also good.
