FIRE IN ROPE AND TWINE WORKS AT DUNEDIN
(P.A.) DUNEDIN, This Day. . A fire which started at 10.30 this morning in the double-brick raw materials store owned by Donaghy’s Rope and Twine Company breached a wall of the building and set a day-long task for the Metropolitan Fire Brigade. The store was packed with baled sisal and tow and the smoulderingmaterial was still sending up columns of smoke early this afternoon. The fire was discovered by an officer of the Dunedin Fire Brigade who was testing the sprinkler and automatic alarm system now being installed.
