Flying-Boat Turns Back
Because of bad weather at Rose Bay, Sydney, the Tasman Empire Airways flying-boat Auckland, which left Mechanics’s Bay for Sydney yesterday morning, had to turn back to base after travelling 550 miles... The flying-boat landed at Auckland, at 5.45 p.m., and will leave again this morning at 6 o’clock. Two flyingboats have had to turn back to base in the last 10 days because of bad wea tther at Sydney, and on four other occasions they have been delayed for up to 24 hours.—(P.A.)
