STRIPPED STOLEN MOTOR-CYCLE TO OBTAIN PARTS
(P.A.) This Day. Two young men admitted in the Police Court today that they stole a mp.tor-cycle in Auckland, rode it 43 miles to Mercerj stripped it fpr parts, threw the remains in the Waikato rjver and hitch-hiked back to the city. The parts were wanted by orie for his own cycle. - .. . They were Alan Linden Michael, aged 21, a labourer and Ernest Keith Hellingshead, aged 19, a driver. The motor-cycle was valued at £260. Both men were edrniriitted to the Supreme Court for sentence.
